"Go for block paving instead"

We had our patterned driveway done four years ago. It took weeks to be finished, though that was the weather and not the companies fault. You should be aware of the following:-

1. The black powder they throw on to make the two tone pattern can stain your white upvc badly. They made no attempt to warn us or cover it up so we assumed it would be ok.

2. The finish wasn't bad at all, but it always looked dirty afterwards. We have contacted them several times to have them finish it properly but they never return messages or come back out to you.

3. Once you've got it, you're stuck with it. I would go for block paving if I had my time again. At least if that sinks a bit you can have small parts of it 'touched up'. You are totally stuck with concrete.

I won't 'rubbish' the company becasue the chaps who did the work were always polite and worked hard to keep the site tidy and clean. However, the managers after sales attitude is not great and I would be surprised if they came out and rectified problems after you have paid.
