I worked at Kings in 1965. I was 15 years old. Too young to use the bacon slicer, so it was my job to open tins with the bonzer can opener. That's more or less what I did all day. The food was good and there were queues all day long. Outside stood the market traders who sold fruit and veg. I remember at the top of the lane still a lady called big Ada. Seems like yesterday..
