"Twice my mail gone missing"

Recently sent a letter with a card in it. it did not arrive to my father's address now my poor father does not have his discount card. wish I passed it him in person he relay on that card if I don't get it back. some how royal mail lost it. how hard is it to post one letter with address clear on the front will be taking it further.
