A review of G H M Ecclesall Market by SheffStudent written on Friday 28th of January 2011
GHM Market provides an almost endless list of convenience products and is still adding more. Inside you will find everything from those necessities of milk (4 pints for 99p ain't bad at all!), bread, eggs, cheese, toilet roll, some vegetables, tinned goods, frozen foods, a massive variety of drinks and snacks, alcohol (for all your student needs), tobacco, newspapers/mags, a free cash machine, cleaning supplies, cat/dog food, 'bits & bobs' - that is, home supplies (for those times when you need a mini sewing kit or a plug adapter in a rush, personally I doubt I ever will but it's nice to have that back-up, and the 99p gloves were very helpful in the winter by the by. The staff are friendly and helpful and it's open till midnight and from quite early if you need to grab something before work. I realise I sound like I work here, and every place has it's drawbacks, so I will add that myself and friends have experienced on the odd occasion that something we've bought has been out of date, but they happily give you your money back once you point this out, or make it known and reduce the price, even so they have been more vigilant since. I would also suggest that you don't take a push-chair in or lots of bags, with all those products, it can get pretty tight in there. It's not wheelchair accessible, although unless you intend just to get something from around the counter, manoeuvring would be difficult anyway..
