A review of Shirle Hill Hospital School by Deborah Naylor written on Sunday 2nd of October 2011
I wa sent to this school when I was about ten, I was violent at my own school with severe anger management problems, I was totally unable to control myself. The smallest thing would make me furious and that fury would be vented in violence. I must have been a nightmare for my family. I origionally started thi chool as an overnight student, before working my way onto days only and finally returning home, to my origional school. I think I caused a lot of problems when I firt arrived here, I know I had my moments and I remember having to be physically restrained once, but...even thought I was away from my family and friends, I was never cared or alone. The staff were wonderful and so friendly. I've never enjoyed school before or after this place, but here...I was just accepted and helped. People had time for my problems and always helped. I have nothing but fond memories of going here and I have often wanted to contact the chool and say thank you, but I have doubts that anyone would remember me now. It's been a while. If the staff do read these...thank you. Thank you so very much..
